About ASIS International Canada

The Volunteer Leadership Group

ASIS International has over 240 chapters worldwide, divided into groups and regions. Canada falls within ASIS Group 6, and its 11 chapters are divided into three regions:

6A: Atlantic Canada, Québec City & Montréal

6B: Ottawa, Toronto, Southwestern Ontario & Manitoba

6C: Saskatchewan, Northern Alberta (Edmonton), Southern Alberta (Calgary) and Pacific (Vancouver)

The volunteer leadership group in Canada is led by a Senior Regional Vice President, three Regional Vice Presidents, and several Assistant Regional Vice Presidents; all are appointed by the elected President of the Board of Directors of ASIS International. Each chapter is led by an elected executive committee, including a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer.

There are over 2,000 ASIS members in Canada, representing a wide range of security professionals from a variety of industry sectors.  Through regular chapter meetings, our members leverage ASIS for education, certification and networking.  Additionally, each chapter has volunteers dedicated to the promotion of Young Professionals and Women in Security.

ASIS Canada exists to support the 11 Canadian chapters, and to act as a conduit to ASIS International staff and resources.  Each year, the volunteer leadership of ASIS Canada organizes a massive social gathering for Canadians at the annual GSX Security Conference and Expo.  Canada Night is a greatly anticipated networking event, made possible by the generous support of our sponsors.  If you're interested in attending Canada Night, or becoming a sponsor, please click here to connect to our Canada Night page.
