Panel Discussion on the Convergence of Physical and Cybersecurity

June 29, 2021 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm EDT

Join Sherri Ireland, CISSP who will be facilitating a key convergence panel with Daina Proctor, Canadian National Lead in Security Intelligence and Threat Management from IBM Cybersecurity, Libby Robinson from Field Effect focussing on cybersecurity products and solutions, Joey St. Jacques, formerly of Hydro Ottawa and currently Director of Global Solutions from Feenics focussed on cloud-based physical security, and Marc-Andre Bergeron, Director from Genetec focussed on a unified platform for physical and cyber security.

Physical and Cybersecurity have generally existed in the enterprise as 2 silos. Very often physical security has been under the purview of operations and facilities while cybersecurity has been typically the responsibility of IT teams and CIOs. As the Chief Security Officer (CSO) responsibilities expanded to include both physical and cybersecurity threats over the past 5 years, the enterprise has been actively looking for converged solutions. This panel will discuss the different approaches to keeping the enterprise safe from both cybersecurity and physical security threats. The panelists will also discuss leading edge solutions on the horizon and where cutting edge technologies such as AR and AI fit in. The panelists will also discuss the talent question in terms of attracting new employees to this converged security landscape.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions of the presenters.

Completion of this webinar is eligible for one CPE credit. Please register in advance. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
