Keeping Intolerance, Racism and Xenophobia Out of the Workplace – Best Practices for Security Professionals

The nation has seen a surge of nationalist supremacist and hate groups now numbering over a 1,000 nationwide. The workplace must take clear and reasoned steps to prevent and mitigate racism and intolerance from entering the work environment. Security professionals play the key and pivotal role in insuring a just, fair, safe and therapeutic work environment. This class will teach security professionals key pivotal steps they can take and promote that will both maintain a diverse work culture and prevent the forces of intolerance from obtaining any kind of company foothold.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  1. Attendees will learn about the scope and growth of nationalist movements in the US.
  2. Attendees will learn how to identify the warning signs of intolerance in the workplace.
  3. Attendees will learn the importance of early and pro-active intervention when situations arise.
