ASIS Canadian Pacific Chapter October Lunch Hour Webinar

About this Event

Doug Spencer will be speaking about the gang landscape in British Columbia and specifically in the Lower Mainland.  In particular, he will discuss how gangs operate and function, and the threats they pose to both society and businesses alike.

Doug Spencer‘s career in law enforcement spanned over 40 years, the first 30 spent with the Vancouver Police Department and the rest with the Metro Vancouver Transit Police. During his career, he distinguished himself as a Gang Investigator and is the only Gang Expert recognized by the Supreme Court of British Columbia. He has received a variety of awards, including the Governor General’s Award for Meritorious Service for his work in education related to gangs. Over the past 12 years, Doug has been a member of the Odd Squad, a charitable organization comprised of active service and retired police officers. The Odd Squad is recognized as a leader in the field of drug and gang education. Though he recently retired, he continues to provide these presentations and has delivered over 370 presentations to a wide variety of groups in Western Canada.

Please register here and a link to the presentation will be emailed to you with your ticket confirmation. Thanks to our Young Professionals and Women in Security Sponsor, GardaWorld, attendance is free and a certificate for 1 CPE will be awarded to attendees of the live presentation by request.
